Susan Grossman is a realist. Her paintings are simple in style but dramatic and deep with layers of color and depth. Painting from her studio in Brooklyn New York her work focuses on children and those special moments in their daily lives.

Like a single frame snipped out of a film she captures a child ambling along the ocean’s edge, drawing the viewer. The question of what happens next is left to the viewer’s imagination and so her pictures linger in your mind.
