Syd Entel Galleries is proud to present the work of
Minh Douglas Martin of Romeo Glass.
Minh Douglas Martin of Romeo Glass attended Yale
University where he studied geophysics and
environmental science and upon his graduation he
took up boat restoration in Austin, Texas and Santa
Barbara, California. It was in Santa Barbara where he
met glass artist, Bri'oni who apprenticed him in glass
for three years. A happy accident then stranded him in
Staunton, Virginia where he now lives and works as a
partner in Trinity Studios. "I value well-wrought
craftmanship and believe that the objects we surround
ourselves with should elevate our sense of self and
spark our imagination. I believe art is the antidote to
the throw-away culture and that by making durable
and precious objects, we enrich ourselves and ensuing
generations."
