The creation of jewelry came out of the love of same.  In the student services center of a local university I was exposed briefly to metalsmithing and was ‘hooked’ from the very first time I put a saw to metal in 1986.  I am largely self-taught.

The use of ‘found objects’ is frequent in my pieces and recently I have become totally enamored of bone and ivory with sterling.  Organic forms, color by oxidation and surface embellishment via reticulation and roller printing are additional approaches to interesting wearable art in metal.

Odd and interesting cabochons, unusual clasps, asymmetrical orientation and the use of pearls in unlikely combinations with unique beads make the jewelry ‘one-of-a-kind’.
